Current crop must be ousted by any means necessary short of giving democrat control of all 3 branches. We finally got control of all three branches, and they are doing NOTHING. So do something about it, and vote them out. If you keep voting for them, there's no reason for them to change what they're doing.

The current Republicans need to go. I'm done with the BS ".....but you can't vote for the other party because.....guns and stuff.....and freedom....." That's the kind of broken logic that got us to where we are. You current choice is to continue to vote for Republicans that don't do anything and don't actually represent you.....or vote for democrats.

My choice will be to vote against all incumbents. That's the only way to drive change at this point. If that means voting democrat, so be it. I'll stop short of giving them all 3 branches, which will result in a another do nothing cycle. As long as they don't get all 3 branches, it doesn't matter.

Considering the incumbent party controls who is on the ballet, kind of leaves you no choice but to vote for the other party. Do you really want to do that? Just asking.

No but you rotate the incumbents out regularly using the primary. This will keep their heads on a swivel and not by property in the beltway as they will not be there that long.

I thought that about Obama....but his pen was pretty mighty and impacted many things I didn't agree with.

Where's "our guy/gal" and their "Repeal the NFA and all its progeny" bills? Why is it only the democrats will take bold action, push the envelope, try to shift the Overton Window? Sadly, I can see it now, we'll be forced to cast a vote for a democrat/socialist, a spineless-turncoat republican, or throw away a statement vote for some feckless 3rd party candidate. And it will be the same damn stuff all over again...they'll propose sweeping gun control policies and our stalwart, A+ NRA guys will fritter around the edges and run away at the first sign of political headwinds.

This. If the R's in office right now were democrats, there would be lots of legislation rolling through. There's nothing holding the R's back right now.....other than the fact that they're a bunch of do nothing bums. They promise big in their campaigns and then deliver nothing.

"utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing cartridge to extract the fired cartridge case and chamber the next round"

Time to design an battery powered AR 15 operating mechanism that uses no gas or inertia to work... sort of like electric airsoft rifles work.
remove gas block and have an electric over spring powered short stroke bolt "poker" that pokes the BCG thru the gas tube hole like a piston conversion does. brushless motor winds up a screw that preloads a spring, spring energy get released to cycle the bolt, lather rinse repeat. a lot of complication to get around legal wording-

I thought about something like that too. It's a lot of additional moving parts but these idiots don't realize all of their restrictions are simply construction parameters for what will come as a result of this insanity.

Disarm us all with any means at hand. That is the end game in all of this. They want a disarmed and divided population. They have git us divided.

Of course. That will be the end game. It will have to be. The very violence they abhor will be required to disarm the vast, vast number of people that cause them no harm in the first place. They'll cheer and giggle every time some gun owner's home is SWATTED, kids flash banged, dogs shot, and oh...the occasional death or two of someone who moves the wrong way or the cops get the wrong house.

And if we think the cops and the other armed agencies will refuse to participate, when the time comes....I've got some swamp land in Florida I'd like to sell you.

    You can say that again...

    Oops... you just did.

Every now and then, I'll get that notice that says you have to wait x seconds before replying again. But as far as I know, I don't get the double posts. It looks like it's trying to but it doesn't look like it is. Wonder why yours is so bad? Have you tried rebooting your computer, router, etc.?

I am not limited by the 15 second delay. It just does as it will. I guess it is a female.....:)

Surely they couldn't go to every single house to confiscate....right? I guess they could but it would take a crap load of man power, plus they would have to get every house quick otherwise when word gets out of what they're doing people will start hiding their "stashes" I would think.

Man I hope it never comes to that.
