I also wish to express my gratitude to those who have served this country. I am one of the few men in my family who didn't serve. Too young for Korea, and married with a child when Vietnam got hot. Father, brother, son's have all served. We could not have the freedoms we do without all your sacrifices!
I think most of us living vets appreciate the sentiment, but today is the day we reflect on our fallen brothers and sisters in arms. Few days go by that their sacrifice isn't on my mind.
Sure, thank a vet if you'd like, but please remember, our sacrifice , however great or small, will never compare to those who fell in battle.
A slight list of my friends that I have lost over the years, sadly, these are only from battle, haven't included those killed in training, etc while during the war on terror
