Good to see you in these parts! One of the few things that keeps me away from a committee hearing: my Dad has a Doc appointment that morning. Get it out of the House and I'll be there when it's in the Senate!
It sounded good until they built in over 40 hours of required training. Are teachers going to want to take a week off to go to gun school? Also, they threw in the bone to LE to bribe them for their support lol.
Thankfully you are now in South Dakota so it doesn't affect you.
With onerous training requirements it probably won't affect anybody in IN either.
I guess we'll see how many sign up on 1 July.
While I do not agree with the amount of time required, I am married to a teacher who loves to remind me she has summers off. I get to work until I die, so not much sympathy there.
I hope a ton take advantage of it and and tell the RINO's to shove it. It looks like people just need the time but grant funds are covering course fees so at least that's not out of pocket for the teachers.
She's one of the lucky ones, I come from a teaching family and they all had summer jobs lol.
