    A question that just crossed my mind. What if you own a stainless pistol that has a suppressor to it, but would like to have the suppressor refinished to match the rest of the gun? Can you do that, and if so would it be legal?

    Because it's cool to have burnt off finishes. AAC pioneered this "Fad" when their proprietary "SCARMOR" ended up turning into nothing more than KG Gunkote. They had to stop sending their suppressors out for the "SCARMOR" (nothing more than Nitron)when it became evident the ATF didn't want Non-SOT holders (the refinishers) handling finished silencers...
