So I finally finished my SR556 build. Equipped it with a Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4x20, KAC 45 degree 600m irons, Harris bipod, and a Giselle national match trigger. This thing shoots really well. All the work today was done with 69gr GMM at 100yards. Conditions weren't ideal. Had a 10-15mph full value wind L to R, and I was pretty shaky today. Also, all groups were fired at the lowest zoom setting of 1.5 power.
First pic is of my zero target. First group was high and slightly left. My adjustments were dead on, as my second group was good enough for me, considering the environmentals today. Final measurement was 15/16th of an inch.
Second picture is of two 3rd groups fired in somewhat rapid succession. I fired as soon as I had a good sight picture. Fairly happy, as the longest axis (top to bottom) measured 2 3/8". I know I can do better, so I'm ready for the next range day already.
