    I agree with Spencer on this subject. Also funnel web and funnel weaver are not the same. Funnel webs are mean nasty and pack a very nasty bite(very dangerous) The Australian funnel web is one of the most venomous spiders in the world. Brown recluses are the only poisonous ones here except for the southern black widow and that's found near the southern border. Brown recluses don't usually cause death but they do have a highly necrotic bite that can leave some serious damage to the tissue. But none of these spiders hunt people lol. Hard to tell by the picture that this thread started with but it looks like a type of orb weaver or garden spider which are all good to have around.
