Today I got to disassemble, clean, reassemble and shoot a Winder Musket.
It is the Winchester 1885 low wall in .22 short. It is US marked with the flaming bomb. It is now 100 years old and shoots great.
It is from the third and final modification ordered by the military but the wood on it is excellent. No bumps or bruises just clean straight wood. The blue is mildly faded but just enough to where you know it was used but very much loved their whole time being here.
History is fun to shoot and this one cleaned up great.
