I've only ever heard/read very positive reviews regarding the original Butler Creek folding stock for Ruger 10/22, a stock that hasn't been available for ten years or more. I bought this one long ago and never used it. See more pictures below.

= Brand new. Never attached to any rifle.
= Black polymer stock with metal folding-stock mechanism at the rear.
= Stock locks up completely rigid whether extended or folded, and the lock-up can be adjusted with a hex wrench (not included)
= Apparently the folded stock does not interfere with firing or with magazine insertion/removal.
    = Checkered forend.
= Pistol grip has comfortable finger grooves and a press-in bottom/base for storage inside the grip.
= Sling stud on the left side, above the pistol grip.
= Hole for another sling stud (not included) on the forend underside, about 3-1/2" in.
= Quality black rubber recoil pad.
= Five-minute installation involving just one screw, located forward of the mag well on the underside of your factory stock.

LINK: Informative video describing this stock. It's from 11 years ago and takes a while to load.

LINK: An Ebay link attempting to sell this same stock in USED condition for $280 plus $15 shipping.

    $135
Includes the original instructions, The Famous Butler Creek "Cheek Rest" (clear plastic tubing that fits over the upper metal stock rail :D) and the original cardboard box. That's everything that used to come with these stocks.

FWIW, the complete folding mechanism can be separated from the polymer stock, and might be attached to something other than a 10-22. Maybe an AK47, AK74 or other...if its rear trunnion (or trunnion adapter) has a flat rear surface.
