Me too, but the gardener makes what I call cap block cakes these days. Baked in a silicone mold, they are lighter than any pancakes I've eaten.

I hadn't either until she served them up, they taste the same but are thicker and lighter. She likes fruit in them which is easier to incorporate and you just put them in the oven.

She didn't care for the name cap block cakes, but it has stuck.
