I have an 11 year old that I am starting to tech to shoot. The end goal is to start squirrel/rabbit hunting next year. I finally have an excuse to buy a snake charmer. I do not know if there were a lot of options with this model, but I would want the stainless gun, full stock with 4 round storage in the butt of it. I am in Northwest Indiana and go to Rochester/Winamac many weekends.

Here is what I bought my girls back in the mid '90's. https://www.guncritic.com/product/hr-410-ga-snake-tamer-20-nickel-barrel-full-choke-polyme/
They were called snake tamers. Then I bought them the Rossi combo, single barrel 22 and single barrel 4.10 with one receiver. Here is what I then bought them. https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...tguns/rossi-matched-pair-youth-rifle/p/p48615
Now I see this is available for you. https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...break-action-rifle-22-long-rifle410/p/1620055

That is the best of both worlds!!! They liked to plink also and a single shot break open was easier for them to manipulate than pulling the bolt back on a bolt action. Enjoy this time with your child, I treasure the memories of my wife and I shooting with our girls while they grew up.
