Shipshewana Show after Christmas weekend

I think it's thier first one
If it brings 1/2 of the people from the Napanee show it will be a nice little one.
We are planning on going over Saturday.
Other attractions are Yoders Hardware store , Wana waves ( water park hotel) Eash sales ( amish type stuff good for living off the grid, appliacnces, hardware & stuff)
A few bulk food stores are nearby also
There is a nice auto museum next to wana waves, Hostetler's Hudson Auto Museum
my daughter loves to see the REAL Doc Hudson they have there

hey guys!!! this one is right in my back yard!! the best part: Ship is having the first annual Ice Festival. with ice carvers, special events, special pricing at most stores and a lot of other fun stuff!! ship is a cool town, but set up 100% for tourism.

we will be there on friday, unless my wife vetos, then i and my son will be there without em!! hahahaha

oops! not open on friday!! looks like saturday!

i garuntee sunday will be dead. the amish community doesn't do business on sunday. and shipshewana is about 95% SHUT DOWN. religon is huge around here.

on saturday i will be there with my wife and kids. i'll be wearing a green colored TAD gear coat. and probly a Notre Dame beanie hat. one each: boy, 8. girl, 2. wife, unknown (late 20s.).

and, just for a heads up, we had a huge ice storm on christmas night. it was bad out today. highways were shut down for hours on end. ship was locked down for a bit. we are thawing out now, but be CAREFUL tomorow coming into town. it is slip as hell out. road is nothing but ice, as of now, still.

good!! maybe tomorow the semis can get up the hill by my house!!

me and my son sat at the highway for an hour watching the cars slide off and backwards.... and him being taught how to drive on the ice.
