I don't understand what is to be gained by coming to my door asking to see a gun that I bought at a store months or years ago since I am permitted to sell to another person w/o using the services of an FFL?

With my range hobby & how I like to buy a gun, try it out for awhile, then move on to the next flavor, chances are 100% I would not still have any gun I bought even a few months ago.
I learned here that it is not required that I have records of such.
To meet the "proper person" profile, I have only sold to LTCH card holders, whether on this site or another that I use.

A person who bought a firearm from me might have sold it to someone else that was not a
"proper person," but I understand that still doesn't come back on me.
To avoid any person who might be criminally inclined, I've only sold to those who have their LTCH, required by law or not.
i've bought n sold privately alot of guns over the last 50 yrs. never had any paperwork other than 100 bills and a handshake.
