Husband just had his DOT physical and passed, but they weren't happy with his hearing and said he needs hearing aids, at least by the next physical in 2 years. This wasn't a big surprise, as he's had hearing loss for many years. (this is probably to be expected when you are a fan of super-loud music your entire life, and as a teen, used to lay in bed with your ears surrounded by speakers at full blast) He works construction and also drives, so he needs it to be fairly comfortable with a hard hat. He's more concerned about how it looks and what it costs, but I just want him to get one he will wear and hopefully will last a while, or at least have a good warranty. His company sent him to an audiologist, and he was told he needed one for each ear, but they didn't really say how much of a loss he has. I'm guessing moderate to severe. Living in a small town, there's not many places nearby to look at them. He mentioned maybe going to Indy, etc. Any thoughts?
