Strangers gets me along with Last House on the left. Nothing supernatural just some crazy ass people making the situation very plausible.

That rape scene was so graphically disgusting that I won't watch that one anymore, pisses me off too much.

I still think "The Descent" was on top when it came to scary movies.

I gotta agree the Descent was hands down the scariest thing I have ever seen.

When a strange calls totally scared my daughter, and that was hilarious, never saw her jump so high.

"Godzilla vs the Smog Monster" did a number on me for a while, but I was pretty young. Kept expecting the smog monster to appear over the horizon. "They Live" was kinda creepy, and "Prince of Darkness" was very good.

Scary movies are so not scary these days but when I was a kid...

1. Sasquatch - the legend of Bigfoot (1977)
2. The shining (the original version)
3. The fog (??maybe)
The psychological factor has to be high. The gore factor doesn't help scare me.

I can't watch it anymore. The idea that we could actually descend to that is horrifying to me. Maybe not the kind of scary movie you were expecting, but that's the scariest movie I've ever seen.
