Saw a Hind today.

This afternoon. I was hanging out on the loading dock at work. Heard an odd sounding helicopter approaching, flying basically parallel to the big creek, traveling west to east. Watched it get closer, and I'm like, "huh, is that what I think it is?" Got closer, and yup, it was a Hind! Been a long time since I've seen one of those flying, and last time was definitely an Oh ****! moment. Anybody know of a way to look up recent flights on one of the various aircraft tracking sites?

Speaking of old aircraft... I was making sliding barn doors for the wife the other day when a jet flew over.
I looked up to see the unmistakable stubby wings of an F104 Starfighter. Gotta be air show time somewhere close by.

I remember seeing a Hind flying around Redstone Arsenal around 1992. I assume it was captured in Iraq but have no idea.

My research says there are (were) at least 4 here in the states. We bought some for training our attack chopper pilots in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Yeah, I almost sent in a spot report. Any time we saw one along the inter German border there was a bit of a pucker factor.

Kind of what I was thinking, unless it was going to an air show somewhere east. I see helios fairly often following the river headed either to or from Knox.
