Just installed a 3 round S&J extension on my 870.
Problem is it locks up when inserting the 6th round.If you really push it will go but the 7th round is almost impossible.
Fully loaded it will bind the spring in the tube to the point it has no pressure on the shells
Anything after the 4th round it sounds like the spring is binding up.
I did some searching and found posts that state to tap the tube when screwing it on to prevent the spring from catching in the threads.
That made no difference
Took the spring out of a Benelli M2 and the thing runs great.
Tried cutting the S&J spring but never got it to work ( down to what i felt was a safe length and matched the Benelli spring)
The S&J has a lot more coils per inch and I think that is the problem.
Basically what I am asking is: What replacement spring would you suggest?
