Rust on my Spyderco Manix 2 xl

I noticed today I have a little bit of rust on my Spyderco Manix 2xl. I thought S30V was rust resistant?

You answered your own question...Rust resistant. Even stainless steel is not rust proof. If you want pure rust proof than get a ceramic blade.

Heck I had some rust issues on a "Stailness" Kimber 1911, its not made of a truly rust proof metal such as H1 or Stelite it is susceptible to rust under certain conditions. I recommend this stuff to everyone with these particular issues it works very well.

Use a pencil eraser to remove the rust.

After you remove the surface rust, wiping the blade every day will keep it from happening again.

I like to use Sentry Solutions' "Tuf Glide" on my blades that don't get used every day as a light rust-preventative measure. Seems to work well, even has a somewhat pleasant scent.

i had issues with a kahr cw9 and a few knives remove the rust and frog lube . it made a huge difference.
