Found 2 pairs of grips, one newish rosewood w SR in silver eagle.
Another is used w black eagle, walnut.
Both bags say "blackhawk" but the rosewood is shorter than the other.
Only Ruger I have is a Super Blackhawk 3 screw so dunno what these other grips really go to.
Im sure the Rosewood is for a new model of some sort.

I can't remember all the diff grip sizes, used to know but got out of Ruger SA many moons ago.
Only Ruger SA I even care to remember anything about is the SBH (always been a fave).

I thought the new model Blackhawks and Single six took the same grip.
Maybe the shorter ones for a Vaquero?

    Heck I dunno.

I thought the rosewood may be for a super single six because mine has them. I placed the single six on top of a SBH
I have and they are the exact same size.

I finally got em sorted out LOL
Have walnut XR3, walnut XR3 RED and the rosewood are XR3 Short.
Were labeled just for "Blackhawk" (pops had em).

You could get Rosewood from Ruger in SBH, BH, Bisley, Single Six and the little 32's.....new model stuff.

The quality of the newer grips is pretty sad. Be prepared to work on em. My black lam SBH grips needed a fair bit of fitting. Guess better "too much" wood, than not enough.

Whoever did the old walnuts ( and not that long ago rosewood ) was much better.

    For ref:

Reg all black plastic or other synth, w the old Ruger medallions, would be great.
    Even buffalo horn $$$$
The black lam is close enough to look decent on the brass frame SBH.
Two tone looks better than 3 tone LOL
