Removing the barrel shroud on an MP5 clone

I recently purchased an MP5 clone. It's got a pinned on barrel shroud. I plan on filing a Form 1 and turning it into an SBR. Do I need to reserialize the gun? Are their any other watchouts?

No, you don't need to re-serialize the gun, you can use the existing serial.

Don't forget the have your info engraved on the gun, as you are the maker of the SBR.
