So I have acquired a Remmington 572. It's a tube fed 22lr pump. Has anyone ever had one? I haven't shot it yet and have barely even messed with it. I think it was manufactured in 1952.
The pump fed rifle is a very well made and accurate rimfire for sure. I have always wanted a "Speedmaster", the semi-auto version myself. I have, only on occassion, seen the Speedmaster at a gun store. (Price around 550$!) I have never seen any of the pump versions, new or used. I think people tend to hang onto them when they get them. JMHO.
Yes the 550, and the 552 Remingtons are very nice rifles also.
I see alot more of them up for sale though, than the 572.
Ive only found two of the 572 rifles in my area for sale in many years, but then this fall I went to Knob Creek, and Coles hand two or three for sale, and about ten of the 552.
