I know everyone uses Trailboss. I'd use it to if I could find it anywhere. I was using Titegroup for awhile but everyone seems to be out of that as well.

I have Red Dot on hand. Hard to find load data now but I guess years ago Alliant would publish data. Something like 10grs for 165 SGK or 168 SMK?

Anyone have a recipe that works for them?

This is 22" 1:10 barrel for what it's worth.

    Thanks!

I remember seeing loads like that in some of my older mags/books. I never paid attention to 308, but I remember some for 30-06 (which I have). I seem to remember the loads were for cast bullets, though. There may have been some for jacketed loads like that, but I would think there could be issues with the bullet getting stuck in the bore. I never tried any of these, so I don't have any experience loading and shooting them.

I looked in a few places, but could not find any info. When I get time, I will check out Pet Loads and a few other loading resources. I have 25 years of Handloader magazine, I will check the indexes to see if there is something in there too.

I found some data for 165gr Speer RNSP with IMR 4759. Old manual. Not the powder you are looking for, but perhaps the velocity range.

    19 grains @ 1593 fps
    23 grains @ 1918 fps

In Lyman 49th edition. 115gr cast bullet with Red Dot. There are a few other powders with this bullet.

    10 grains @ 1623 fps
    14 grains @ 1200 fps

My older (1973) Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook shows 10.0 gr of red got as a starting load for cast bullets from 120-183gr. Even on the heavier bullets, you are looking at 1340fps. So, yes light loads would work, but not looking good for subsonic loads.
