...INGO doesn't like socialists...
When did you start speaking for INGO?
Fixed it for youI am sorry, but I disagree.
First of all, the whole "community" angle your pushing is purely socialist BS. It is not my responsibility to worry about those who are unprepared. Nor, is it my problem to concern myself with those who have finally seen the light and have just started their "collection".
Now, before you get on your high horse and make some incorrect assumptions about me, I am more than happy to educate folks and give advice on firearms subjects that I know well, for free I might add. But if some slack jawed, booger eatin,' mouth breather of a moron, wants to jump into the fray without educating themselves, well, I offer zero remorse.
The fact is, in the real world, life is not fair and can be cruel, dangerous and expensive to the stupid and uninformed. I suggest asking a lot of questions, do some serious research and wear a helmet.
Not saying I disagree with the arguments on "free market", just remember what you say when you **** and moan about gas prices.

You should disagree. The hysteria we find ourselves currently in, ISN'T based on the teachings of free market Laissez Faire (govt non-interference in business) Capitalism. Capitalism is based on two knowledgeable parties coming to an agreement on price. What has been created is artifical price pressures that are primarily founded on the beliefs of the ignorant. This ignorance, in turn, allows the seller to name their price.
Reach back and unbunch your panties. It's a joke, although you can't deny the anti-socialist bent of this forum...
However, I disagree that you can't get quality firearms for personal protection at a reasonable price, even during this bubble. You can still get a Mossberg 500 or a Taurus .38+P revolver for $300-ish. ARs and AKs are far from the only option for personal defense. As the Stones once pointed out, You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you might find, You get what you need.

Yes it is. The fundamental basis of capitalism is the ability of people to voluntarily participate in markets. You are complaining about exactly that.
Profit is not evil.
Agreeing to sell a person something for a price they are willing to pay is not evil.
Offering goods at any price, no matter how exorbitant, to buyers voluntarily participating in a market, is not evil.
None of this is bad in any way at all.
People want AR15s. Sellers provide them. These are both good things. Both the buyers and the sellers leave happy. Why should you be able to dictate to either party how they should behave?
Take a look at another forum's response to the madness.
So, you use this forum only to post ads in Classifieds, and you're now posting items well above list price? Well, guess what? - Topic
Soooooooooooooooooooo guys....
I need your help, the help of this community. As of this moment, I need a house. Not just any house, I want a $300,000 (or higher) house. I couldn't and didn't buy a house when houses that are worth $300,000 now, cost a mere $150,000. I spent my money on cars, bikes, trucks, guns and tools. But now, I kinda want this house, but in reality I NEED this house. I NEED a $300,000 house to put all of these things and myself in. Nothing less will do.
I am asking all of you to gather around me as a community and help me into this house. Of course I am COMPLETELY willing to pay the $150,000 for it, that wouldn't be right if I just took it for free. I think you will all realize this is the right thing to do for me.
Thank you in advance,
Travis
This thread is a good example of what's wrong with people at a basic level, and why we're in the state we're in as a country.
At it's core, people are upset at two things:
1. They think people selling are being "greedy"
2. They think people buying are being "stupid"
The people who are upset assume they are morally and intellectually superior.
They then feel justified taking rights away from others because of their moral and intellectual superiority.
This is why we lose our freedoms.
These people get 51% of the population to agree, and by force of law, they try to rid the world of greed and stupidity by enslaving others to their sense of moral and intellectual superiority.
