Really have to be careful. I've thought about where I meet people for transactions. Probably won't go to bad apartment buildings

A private sale of a rifle and handgun ended up in the assault of the seller. Guns were taken and have not been recovered. The area is known around town to be one of the worst apartment complexes as far as criminal activity. Why someone would go there alone to sell guns make no sense to me.

Since the victim was treated at the hospital and released obviously the docs forgot the mental evaluation.

    Could be anywhere
Extremely bad judgment day for the victim. As noted previously, bad rep complex and 5 guys waiting...definitely a jump over the cliff moment. DON'T DO IT! Just drive away. Of course exercising that kind of discretion would have had you meet up someplace a bit more conspicuous...like the parking lot of the police department.

I drive past there frequently, but I sure as hell don't linger in that area.

If the seller wasn't retarded or unfamiliar with Lafayette, perhaps he was there to trade for something other than cash?
