Since I got my Hungarian M52 sniper rifle back in 2012 I have been on the lookout for a Hungarian scope to replace the Russian PU scope it came with.

Well persistence has paid off, today I received a package from Hajdúszoboszló, Hungary and inside was a 1953 Hungarian PU scope and mount for my M52. Needless to say I couldn't wait to mount it onto my M52 and return it to it's former glory.

    That's really cool!
Can you share what you did to make contacts in Hungary to get the scope? How much work was it to find and get what you wanted?

I found the scope listed on E-Bay but listed as a Russian scope, the red paint/lock-tite on the turret screws was the 1st give away that it wasn't a Russian PU so I checked the other pics for the auction, and sure enough it was a Hungarian PU.
