A hypothetical tale..
Not long ago, just before Halloween, a friend of mine asked me to go to a college football game. I asked if she knew if there was high security. She knew why I asked. She said she hadn't seen them do more than search bags, no wanding. This stadium does not serve or allow alcohol an I think that is their main focus..
Needless to say I went, with my EDC plus a flask.. LOL
I informed the friend that if they had upped their security I would have to take my tools back to her truck. Her response was that we could just tailgate and not go into the stadium.
Day of the game, wearing normal clothes and carrying my normal EDC I walked right in through their laxed security and sat and watched the game, well part of it, it was chilly and rainy and my friend wanted to go warm up so we left.
I do not put myself in situations I can't fight my way out of anymore, I am too old and I am too slow..
Had someone wanted to do harm to those in attendance the chance was there.
Oh and let me just say this event was in a state that does not honor any license or permit I have and where carrying inside a college stadium is a felony.. Ridiculous as it seems, I would rather be safe than sorry..
Since this latest increase in terror attacks, I won't be going to any large functions of any kind..
Carry On!!
