pmags?

Is this a generic term for any plastic mag or a specific brand? 20 years ago we didn't have plastic mags in the army. I bought some Tapco plastic mags at the 1500, are they pmags? Or are only the magpul mags considered pmags?

Only magpul.

There are some craptastic plastic mags out there now that are worth about as much as their weight in plastic.

so are the tapco mags junk? Feed problems? I just bought a couple, however won't try them out till I get my hands on some more "cheap" ammo to replace the ammo I have.

I have a couple of Tapco mags that my Dad buught, they fucntion 100%

A lot of people are not fond of Tapco mags, some are. Best to just to just try them out and see what you think for yourself.

I've had good luck with the Tapco mags in my AK for whatever that's worth but have tried none otherwise.

AK's will eat anything.

I've used Tapco mags with no issues in both of my AKs. But - well, they're AKs.

I have never used the Tapco but hear there okay.. Magpul is what they all want to be like..

thats the truth there.. Never thought one day I could sell them for 50 bucks a pop back then..
