He is lucky to only have to get a few stitches and maybe a cracked jawbone or some teeth missing. Could have been way way worse. I wait at least 30 seconds if a FTF occurs. Lucky man he is for sure!

Believe me, that is BAD. Looks cut to the bone. Possibly a broken jaw, and almost surely will require plastic surgery. I've witnessed a similar injury from a .30 cal rifle, and the results weren't pretty.

This has to be an old pic, the boots in front of the weapon are black leather, not desert boots. But it had to hurt no matter when it was.

One guy on that thread said to duck and wait 30 seconds? the 30 seconds I can agree with, maybe a minute, but do you want to let go of the rifle???? I mean shouldnt you retain control over the rifle during this time????????
