Found the weirdest thing walking the dog.
A lot of people live in this berg! I'm guessing this fell out of a pocket while someone was stripping off a jacket or something.

It's a '62 one penny coin from Great Britain.
It's been a while since I was active in numismatics, but these older ones are 90%+ copper, I think.
About the size of our Kennedy half dollar.

Probably a worry/fidget item for someone. One side is worn and shiny, Liberty side. Other queen side, about as dull as you would expect 60 year old copper to be.

I have no way to return it. Putting it back in the grass won't work.
Finders, keepers? I feel kind of bad for who ever lost it.
How long have they been wearing down their thumb wishing for Liberty?

    Hey, Lpherr,

Another noob question, but I'm curious about your castings.
Is there a link or further description as to what you are making.
I pour composites to make blanks. Those are then turned into whatever someone wants to make from them.
I used to cast rods for pen makers around the world. As of late, I cast blocks that are used to make grips and knife scales.

I used to make a lot of pens, and that's where I got started with casting, some 20 years ago.
There's a gentleman on this forum that goes by Frosty, that has purchased several blanks from me and has made
them even better, by adding them to his beautiful knives.

For me, casting is an addiction.
