My best friend just called me. He saw his oncologist yesterday and there's nothing more they can do for his cancer. They're bringing in hospice tomorrow. He has maybe 2 months left. Hitting me pretty hard.

He's been my brother since we were little kids. He didn't have a great home life and my mom and dad were his second parents.

He did say that he's actually at peace with it all. All the guesswork is over. No more wondering what will come next, what else they'll find, what other treatments he'll have to go through. His wife is also at peace with it, so for that I am thankful, but it's hard to imagine not having him in my life.
