Susan took the younger granddaughter to watch the older granddaughter race tonight. She's been doing pretty well! I haven't seen her in person but I've seen the videos. She races basically a souped up go-kart kinda thing. So does her older brother. They're both pretty good.

Went out and surveyed the yard earlier. I've got a lot of cleanup to do.

A big chunk of the biggest Rose of Sharon broke off. That makes me happy for mowing, but not for cleaning it up.

I wish these storms would have the decency to break these branches they take down into 3' long pieces. That would be a big help.

I think these CSX contractors are wanting to use my driveway for staging for the rail removal. I'm on good terms with the workers and all but it seems like more & more no one at any point put much thought into this project.

The rabbits are absolutely taking over around here.

I wish these storms would have the decency to break these branches they take down into 3' long pieces. That would be a big help.

I'd like to have these 3ft diameter oak logs out of here too.

The rabbits are absolutely taking over around here.

I've seen at least 4 I think in our back yard, which is only about half an acre, but we don't have a garden anymore to attract them. I don't know what they're eating. It's not thistles, I can tell ya that.

We used to have a lot of hawks that kept the small game in check but I haven't seen any predator birds this year save for Heron and Tern that eat my pet fish out of the creek.

We had a couple of hawks hanging around here last year, so that's probably why I didn't see any rabbits around last year. I haven't seen the hawks this year.

Holy crap. That's like New Zealand Giant size almost. We had one of those show up at our house when I was a kid that was obviously a runaway (or dumped) pet. When we were trying to catch it, it let out what was my first experience with a rabbit scream. That was so wild.

Yeah I think they may be escapees or someone dumped them.

Seem to be about the same number of squirrels. More deer than ever. They won't leave my poor trees alone.

I sat in my blind yesterday and had one come out of the brush and sit motionless for about 45 minutes.
