Warm Warm Warm Warm...Hot & Windy.

Birds were sitting waaaaaaaay tight and the ones that would move ran all the way to the end of the field and would flush while we were still 60 yards away, and all those were hens.

We saw 1 rooster (pic) and 8 hens. Also killed 5 doves.

congrats. I'll be in Benton co. tomorrow on private ground but don't expect to do very well on account of all the crops still standing. It will still be a great day just getting out with the dog.:)

All the runners went straight to standing corn. We saw two hens run across the road and into corn as we pulled up.

currahee, got out today and it was as expected---I bet 70% of the corn is still standing in Benton Co. It was hot and windy and I was surprised we actually saw 3 hens. Got a nice point on one with my DD--

Have to wait till more corn is out I'm afraid. Here's a pic from the same cover hunted in Dec. of last year.
