WASHINGTON (AP) — The Taliban's new top operations officer in southern Afghanistan had been a prisoner at the Guantanamo Bay detention center, the latest example of a freed detainee who took a militant leadership role and a potential complication for the Obama administration's efforts to close the prison. U.S. authorities handed over the detainee to the Afghan government, which in turn released him, according to Pentagon and CIA officials.

This would be my surprised face...

It doesnIt't surprise, but it's not an indictment of all those people that were arrested. Let's not forget there were folks who were tagged by neighbors with personal vendettas. It'd be interesting to know just what all those releasees are now doing. It's only the ones that go back to terrorism that get the press.

It's hard to know just what to do......that's why I declined when offered the presidential nomination by my party
