These North Carolina sheriffs got a little fast-trigger happy. I don't see an easy way to defend this shooting but the media is trying.

Apparently we can't post Rumble videos as media but here is just a link to it.

The only explanation I can come up with is that they somehow mistook the police robot in his hand for some kind of weapon and then either misrepresented the situation to the media or the media chose to embellish it in favor of the police (fat white redneck type suspect, not surprising the news isn't interested in scrutinizing the story).

Weird stuff with the timeline, too. They didn't do the surround and callout until 0500 when the initial dispatch was 2230ish? Why did they need a warrant at all to address a disturbance call? Was there any actual communication before 0500, and if so why did the suspect and "victim" shut off the lights are go to sleep? They seem pretty chill for the subjects of a disturbance call so extreme it required SWAT. Hoax call?

Many questions about this extremely sketchy looking shooting.
