Something similar happened with one of my favorite groups They Might Be Giants. They had a clever song called Marty Beller Mask. Its premise is that Marty isnt real, and "he" is really Whitney Houston in disguise. After her OD/death they announce they would stop playing it live. Cop outs. Its a really good song.

    I'm steaming up the inside
    Of my Marty Beller mask
    'Cause I'm really Whitney Houston
    On the drums

    It's been 15 long years
Since I put on the Marty mask
    You're the only person
    That I've ever told

    Don't walk away from me
    I will always love you
    But how will I know?
    Trick or treat?

I can see you through the eye holes
    Of my Marty Beller mask
    But I'm really Whitney Houston
    On the drums

    I was disenchanted
    Stardom was so fake
    That's when I got back
    Into the drums

    Marty was convenient
    A vessel for my dream
    I knew exactly
    How to fill his shoes

    Don't walk away from me
    I will always love you
    But how will I know?
    Trick or treat?

I can see you through the eye holes
    Of my Marty Beller mask
    But I'm really Whitney Houston
    On the drums

    Marty gets the mansion
    And I get his skins

    Don't walk away from me
    I will always love you
    But how will I know?
    Trick or treat?

I am steaming up the inside
    Of my Marty Beller mask
    'Cause I'm really Whitney Houston
    On the drums
    Look again, this isn't Marty
    On the drums
    I am really Whitney Houston

These Progressive pieces of :poop: can F all the way off. They've already destroyed comedy and now want to do the same to songs. What a bunch of absolute whiny a$$ babies... :xmad:

It seems like most of them do. Everyone is afraid of the mob.

It is funny on FB. Eric Clapton may be the most hated by the brown shirt leftist mob right now. Every time one of the music web sites post an article about him, the mob descends on the post to say that Clapton was never really all that good of a guitarist.
I had no idea what you were talking about, (I don't leave my hole in the ground much) so I googled it.

I had to surf though about 3 pages of articles about how he was never a good guitar player, real guitar players never liked him, etc. until I finally came across one that explained what an evil, horrible, pile of dung he is for saying people shouldn't be forced to wear a mask.

I can't imagine why people can't see through this insanity?

    Uh... Oh boy... :n00b:

If we now must 'cancel' problematic songs from back in the day, the list will be endless.

    Off the top-o-my-head...

    Sweet Little Sixteen-Chuck Berry
Don't Stand So Close to Me-The Police
Young Girl-Gary Puckett and the Union Gap (particularly creepy:wrongdoor:)
    Run for Your Life-The Beatles
    Christine Sixteen-Kiss
Jailbait-Uncle Ted(Well that turned out to be shockingly autobiographic:whistle:)
He Hit Me (And It Felt Like a Kiss)-The Crystals(I mean, damn girl:n00b: And with the whole Phil Spector thing)
    Seventeen-Winger
    One in a Million-GnR
    Polly-Nirvana
    Hey Joe-Jimi Hendrix

You can add Banjo Odyssey from The Dead South. It was written as a parody of a country song and people are butthurt about it saying it glorifies sexual assault, incest, and being a kiddy diddler.

Well, cancel 90% of hip hop, since they reference the n word over and over.

Also, while we’re at it, cancel everything classified as “pop”. No SJW reasons, they just suck.

It's not racist if you call people of your own race a denigrating term and it's not misogynistic to talk about women in denigrating ways if you're not a white male.

I'm good with canceling "pop" for the reason you said though. :):

I like them too, but for me modern Corvette style looks too modern. The Camaro on the other hand looks very good!

The Mustang GT is my DD. The Charger my summer weekend show car.
The vet does look kinda futuristic but I like it.

The charger is definitely something to show off. They can try to remake them all they want, but nothing competes with the originals.
