    It seems as though its speeding up a little. An average of 160 days is an improvement. By the looks of it I should have my first stamp approved in a few weeks. Oh this is soo exciting.

    After telling me my pending date, the ATF said "should be done some time in December". Ouch.

    Seems that calling them and checking on status may slow the process down. This is something I have never done. As long as my check cashed I know they received my forms so why call them. I will let you all know if my theory is correct as I am currently waiting on 2 more form 4s.

    Seems there might be something to this. I called on Tuesday to check, and it had been approved on Monday. However, my calling seems to have made them decide to take their sweet time mailing it out. Still no paper work :(

    calling in will not slow the process down. You aren't talking to the examiners when you call in. It is just someone who's only job is to answer phone calls.
