I saw this a while back and was thinking about it a bit. I decided I liked the BAR DBM (detachable box magazine) in 30-06 but damn, they're pricey and they still look pretty battle-rifle-ish just not as obvious about it as ARs

I'd do some kind of camo finish on it like the OVIX has to make it look even less remarkable

But for what that would cost, you could get a pretty nice garand

A cheaper M1 Carbine could be a consideration.
Similar ballistics to a .357 mag.
15 and 30 round mags available for them.
They are light and handy rifles.
Just offering a different perspective.

Or you can take Ol Demented Joe's advice - get a shotgun. Prob go with semi - auto with an extended mag tube.

Or get a very concealable Standard Manuf. DP-12 and have 14 / 00 buck shells at the ready for that partay.

I still have my EDC, just don't like being to far away from a long gun. And the less I have to debate with some blue pill cop if I get pulled over the better I'll like it.

Girsan makes a pretty reliable shotgun, won't break the bank, and as far as I know you can have them in every state without much grumbling from cops.
