I picked up a LNIB Smith and Wesson 990 in .40 yesterday. Got nights sights,3mags and has a pretty good trigger and molds to my hand perfect. I think Ill keep this one a while. Anybody got one? Have you found a site that has parts for it?

    OP, congrats on the purchase!

I had a P99 in .40 once upon a time. It was a VERY nice shooter.

The SW99/990 are similar enough that I'd bet your gun will be a nice shooter, too. Interested to hear your range report!

As far as spare parts... You'll have to get in touch with S&W for that.

Very nice purchase, I was looking at a 990 but ended up with the sw99 myself. As for accessories, they can be a little hard to find. Some laser/lights will not mount on it due to size, but you'll just have to physically try them out. As for extra mags, you can use p99 and sw99 mags as they both fit, I own a couple of each for mine. The price of these mags has gone up. Last year I got 2 12-round mags for about 25-30 and now their 40-50. I would recommend gun shows, that's were I found mine, the ones on-line are ALL over-priced.

The 990 should take the same mags as a SW99 or P99. I think cdnn investments online had used SW99 mags and holsters. Not sure but I think the only difference in the 990 was the trigger. DAO maybe?
