Ok, I have had two reloading presses I want to sell because I have no real use for them. But before I list them, I want to know what in the hell they are exactly. These both say "Texan" on them, and that's about all I can tell. They're old and kinda dirty, but maybe they'd be useful to the right person. Looks like one of them is for 12 ga. Any ideas guys?

FYI, Once I know what all of this stuff is and what it might be worth, it's going to the classified section. Thanks.

Also found a spent .50BMG casing and bullet in the same box, maybe it can be used for .50 as well? I looked up the headstamp online, it was made in St. Louis in 1943.

That looks like a very old, and possibly incomplete shotshell reloading press.

The two silver funnels on the top would be to drop shot pellets and powder into the cases. The funny looking spike thing would probably be the crimper to seal the end of the shotshell.

My MEC shotshell reloading press looks similar to that but has two large canisters on top, above where the funnels are on your press, the canisters hold pellets and powder. But there is a charge bar under the funnels. Yours doesn't have a charge bar, at least not that I can see. The charge bar would be located inside the square tube on your press under the funnels, it appears to be missing on the press with the flat base but might be on the other press?

In any case those may work? I'd guess they may be more of a collector curiosity than a working shotshell press given their visible condition.

They are shot shell presses. Texan has been out of business for many years. I rtemember them from when I first started reloading back in the early 70's. Parts such as charge bars, shot bushings etc. would be hard to find and without them the presses are useless. Someone may want them as a collector item or to go with parts they have. Probably not worth much. I suggest posting them on a national auction sight with no reserve and buyer pays shipping. There is probably someone who would want them but the trick is how to find those few people.
