If it works for you buy it!!!

With the 110 in it, it will be a fun motorcycle to ride. Myself I'm just not a Softail fan at all, its way to soft and mushy when its pushed in the curves to keep me enthralled. I truly believe when Willy shifted the FX line from a swing-arm to the Softail, it was a huge mistake for HD.
And with the Polair'halorious, even the Softail will be a massive exhaust sound upgrade.

The stock exhaust on both suck. Same for the Triumph Bonneville

For me, it needs a bit longer set of pipes, a small front disk brake and a much larger brake light. And a assortment of Zener Diodes.
    I do like it.

It's a good looking bike...not in my budget.

That panhead you found is going to be an excellent project bike.

I've been looking at parts a lot lately. It might very well end up as a bobber.
I bought it well, but its not ever going to be a factory 53.
My older one has expressed interest in it, he already understands a jockey shift. I suggested to him that we get it running and see what we really have before we make any changes in it.
Once its running and cleaned up the price jumps ten? more grand.
If its a leaker and a burner its gonna cost 5 to 10 to get a well known to rebuild it. Then a few more grand if the tranny is worn out.
We will climb it to it soon enough.

I got out on the CTX today. I feel so blessed to live so close to these great roads.

There truly is something wrong when one can ride a motorcycle and while looking in the rear view mirror, read the tag number on the car behind them.
    Buy American Damn'it...

There is truly something wrong when a car is required to have a tag number ******* up its front end.
