The ruger factory 20 round mags work best in mine. The aftermarket ones just don't seem to be reliable.

Go on Midway, Buds ,Academy , CTD etc and read the reviews of purchasers of the respective items , factory Ruger and aftermarket.
My SIL had a Mini and used some 30rd aftermarket mags, he was lucky like BK above and his worked fine.
However if you read a lot of reviews you'll see that the aftermarkets in general are more hit and miss.

Factory is always the best, I think I used a couple of older mags made by i believe federal ordinance but not sure. If buy aftermarket id stick to steel mags all the plastic ones ive tried have failed. I think nutnfacy does a video solely on this.
