also looking for suggestions on a 22lr or 17 .hmr Need a decent rifle to get some range time on. I currently have a browning sa22 that I don’t think it fits my bill. Looking for bolt guns.

You cannot go wrong with a CZ 457, there is one for for every purpose!
I have the Varmint MTR and love it for bench shooting.

    Good luck!

I have been shooting my sa22 for the time being. I think it’s just to lightweight.

I would like to improve my abilities before deer season this year. I would also like to get a bolt gun for harvesting deer as well.

Looking at the tikka t1x or cz 457. Maybe a savage 22. If it fits the bill.

Im really looking to train for deer season without breaking the bank.

Also are there any ranges near Bloomington. I’ve been going to camp atterburry and it’s quite a drive.

Good luck on finding Savages in 22. At least in wmr they arent building them right now. Not discontinued, but apparently more profitable/popular models to make right now.

    Welcome from a fellow Bloomingtonian!

I love my Savage MK II.

And if you find a good range closer, please let me know. :) I've been going to Proteq in Brazil; it's about the same drive distance as Atterbury (depending on which side of town you live on.)
