The included directions are all but junk. Fortunately there's a lot of information available online. Just tell him to take his time and go slow. It takes some practice to get the feel of it but once you do it's easy to keep it running well. And remember, youtube.com is your friend.
Kind of a finicky or difficult press to set up, certainly not the perfect first press. I guess if the new reloader is persistent and safety minded it should work. A single stage or turret would be better. Lets you concentrate on learning how to reload instead of learning how to keep your press running smoothly.
