I only own one Glock, a G40 MOS which I use as a woods gun. I learned about electric sights from KJQ and with my eyes getting older I was happy with the powerful 10mm and Trijicon sights.

I’ve been back-and-forth between Glock, Beretta, Sig and Smith & Wesson when it comes to semi auto carry guns. But I always end up coming back to Glock and right now it’s a G19.5 with Trijicon red dot and night sights with a Streamlight flashlight in a Safariland holster. I just can’t see a better overall system. A jack of all trades and maybe master of none but still everything I will ever need and more.

I have to admit…. I don’t hate Glocks. Matter of fact I used to love them. Never owned a 9mm Glock in any model. Ran the gamut of 40’s, 10’s, and 45’s in nuclear loads. Tried to love the fourth Gen. In the calibers I played with I just don’t like the recoil spring arrangement. Always went with a stainless full length guide rod and Wollf springs. Now I must say this thread has had me looking….. the Glock 45 MOS piques my interest. Full size frame, compact slide…… Hmmmmmmm. I buy hot rod 9mm off the shelf so…..

I have a Gen 3 17, 19 and 26. 19 is my favorite and I would never sell it. I will sell the 17 and 26. Got a few too many handguns

I’ve had quite a few Glocks over the years, 17,17L,19,20,21,23,29,30,33 and 40. Currently I only have a 20SF and a 40. Traded a 29 for a CZ P09 at the 1500 and I don’t foresee getting anymore, unless I get a Deal! I really liked the 33 for it’s small size and 357Sig power and the 19X for its grip and Gen 5 features. I’ll keep the 20SF and 40 because of their 10mm power but anything else I’d need in a firearm is provided to me by one of my CZs, 1911s or P7s. To me a Glock is just a tool and has no real emotional bond or attachment, much like a claw hammer, it does it’s job and not much else.
I do have to giggle about the guys saying that Glock is the perfect pistol and immediately spend several hundred dollars, or more, getting them “more perfect”. I don’t hate them or those that love them, except maybe their attitudes, and don’t really think much more about it. Now if you show me a Pre 70’s 1911, Pre Lock S&W, Browning Hi Power, P7, early CZ or Dan Wesson you’ll really get my interest.

I used to be a sig purist. Had a bunch of sigs, some nice 1911's, and honestly didn't see the appeal of a glock. Eventually bought one to use as a beater gun because I used to care about scratches on weapons, and honestly fell in love. It's simple, reliable, easy to use, and accurate. I think I'm up to 8 glocks now, and use a 43x as my carry gun.

If there's any glock I would NOT do again..... Poly 80. Less compatibility , much higher chance of having function problems. Kinda ugly too.

I should have just bought a 19 to begin with but I fell into the "grip too steep" crowd. I ended up training a lot more on a standard gen 3 19 and now I don't have a problem. Just took time to warm up to it.

That being said. Here's some pics to freshen up the place.

My Glock 43x is probably the lightest gun that I trust my life too, so I think it would be my last Glock to go.

I enjoy my g23 and its spare 9mm barrel. I like my old g17 and newer g45. But those can all be replaced with other guns.

There is nothing like the slim line with a shield mag to give you 15+1 in something small thin and light.
