It was unveiled at SHOT 2012, but has just recently started getting press. As with Pat Rogers' signature rifle, it's set up in a very specific way, that doesn't really do anything for me. Also, I don't see anything there to justify an extra $600 over a similarly-configured PredatOBR rifle, aside from the exclusivity factor (and the beard) which may appeal to some folks.

It should come with the Costa doll. (sorry, action figure)

I don't really understand the appeal of "signature" anything especially something as personal as a rifle. I want what works best for me and don't really care what works best for him...if they are the same fine.

$350,000 worth of rifles SOLD OUT in less than 2 hours. Whoda thunk it ? :dunno:

The ad said they were selling the first 125. When I opened the email it was down to 110 (about the same time I posted it here). Looks like LaRue isn't hurting for business.

Yeah, I would never spend that on an AR, but hey, the Mall Ninja Costa love children need their rifles.

I don't see anything "mall ninja" about that rifle-- that's all really high quality stuff they've used. "Mall ninja" would be if it included an NCStar optic and chinese green laser. Just because you or I can't justify the price tag doesn't mean its a bad rifle.
