Kahr cw45

I was in a gun shop a while back looking to add to my handgun collection. I don't have a .45 and had decided that that would be my next purchase. I was surprised that by the time I left I wanted a kahr cw45. Well I went home and did some research on the net. After reading all of this I scrapped the idea and bought myself an xdm40. Great gun. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a kahr cw45 and what their experience was. It really is a great feeling weapon and I would still have one if it wasn't for all of the bad reports. Please tell me what you think.

How much did the price of ammo weigh in on your decision to move from .45 to .40?

We have a cw40 and it's a snappy little thing. It's fine for ccw but I can't imagine running a bunch of rounds thru it at the range. It will work for what my wife and I use it for but for a fun to shoot, run a ton of rounds thru gun it's not.

The xdm 40 is an awesome piece in my opinion. Congrat's on picking a winner!

Ammo affordability wasnt really the motivation. I have had a .40 in the past and knew I was going to get another. Just not at that time. I really wanted a .45. I feel a lot of them are kind of overpriced. There is a lot of talk of the kahr falling apart in the hands of the user and I care only about reliability. Don't care about engraving and don't really care for shiny guns. I plan to have weapons in all popular calibers just in case I can only find certain ammo in the future.

I had a CW45 and had no problems with it. It was accurate and easy to carry. I traded it for something else, but I wish I still had it.
