So to define: Separation of Church and State

Separation of church and state is a political and legal doctrine that government and religious institutions are to be kept separate and independent from each other.[1] The term most often refers to the combination of two principles: secularity of government and freedom of religious exercise.[2]

My definition not that it matters:

For the Government to keep out of Established Religion or Religious Practices unless Laws are being Broken (very gray area).

Not for Religion to keep out of Government. If was truly the intent for religion to keep out of All Government entities then they would be there in the first place. If that was the intent from the begging why did it stray? It was never then intent. God was not only welcomed into government practices God was essential.

    Interesting Concept:

As I learned yesterday on Rush The only way you can get School Loans is through the Government, you can no longer get private loans for school.

So does that mean the Government will loan money out for Theology Majors, or what about schools like Marion College that requires a Theology class for Graduation?

So now tax money is spent on funding religious entities. Interesting. :patriot:

who gets to define what constitutes a "religion" and if deemed a "proper" religion and not a cult..(tax status) should everything connected to a religion be tax exempt?
