This may be my best idea in a long time...

Since the INGO is compromised of a bunch of good people sharing a common interest, how about if we (Fenway?) organize a Swap Meet? If you're like me, you have a lot of shooting related stuff (reloading components, parts, knives) that somebody may be able to use, but it is not worth shipping, and too much to list.

    Here are some ideas:
    1. hold it in the winter, on a Sat. or Sun. after deer season, when Hoosierland is pretty dark, cold and boring.
    2. Hold it in or near Indy, as it is the center of the state
    3. Limit entry to bona fide members of INGO. Confirm membership at the door from the member roster.
    4. Charge a modest fee for tables.
    5. Charge a modest entry fee to cover the space rental.
    6. Maybe a INGO member has a place to hold it
    7. FFLs can do their thing, FTF also ok.
    8. All laws apply (of course)

Anyone interested? Any reason not to?

Sounds like a neat idea but..
    1) Isn't that what the 1500 is for?
    2) Are we really big enough for something like that yet?

With 782 members, if 20% of members and some of their family/friends would show up it would be worth it.

I like the member house / yard idea.

This is different than 1500 cause 1) I don't have a table there and 2) with a table I can lay out all my misc holsters, reloading, parts etc for sale/trade that I wouldn't tote around 1500.

Maybe run the swap meet for only 4 hours?

    I like the cookout/event idea.

If you're looking for "space", I have access to free meeting space at my hotel, as long as its a non-busy time of year.

I like the hotel idea. After it's over, perhaps there could be another informal INGO dinner and a nearby restaurant!:popcorn2:
