She is 13 years older than me and I think she is my soul mate.
Never had kids, never been married. Doesn't want to have kids. Just wants to have a decent life with someone (like me).
    She looks like my age.
I'm totally into her and despite her being 13 years older than me we click and it's very obvious. Now how do I tell my parents that I'm dating a girl who is 38 and I'm 25.

    We need pictures to verify.

I'm 43 and the GF is 27. My family is happy that I'm happy. Best wishes to you both.

    Damn pimpin', well done.

Will will also need pics to verify this is true.

Oh crap, I forgot to actually answer the TS:

Now how do I tell my parents that I'm dating a girl who is 38 and I'm 25.

    I'd say it's pretty simple...

"Hey guys, I'm seeing someone. She is a little older than me...13 years older to be exact. I'm really happy with her. When would you like to meet her?"

Let them get to know her first, without the foretold information. Or tell them you are sworn to secrecy about it.

I wouldn't act any different from any other time you have had someone meet your parents. It's not a big deal to you and it's probably not to them either.

    Been there, done that.
Hate to tell you my friend, but RUN!

If you were both ten years older, much different story.

Disclaimer - Don't listen to me. Totally unsuccessful in relationships.
(However, maybe our similar thought process explains some things, eh?:dunno:)

Mr. frmOhio: What's the problem? You now have a woman with a job and no baggage. She may be uncomfortable with your friends and you with hers. Make your own mind up about her and don't let criticisms from friends and family influence you. When I was 40 I was going with a girl that was 22. She was still living with her parents and I thought her Dad would skin me the first time I picked her up. When I picked her up, everybody had a good laugh at my expense. Her father was 20 yrs. older than her mother. The girl was staying over a lot. I have a son who was 11 or so at the time and he stayed with me on the weekends. So I sat around and drank beer and the two of them played video games. Was a good deal for a while.

Don't question yourself or let others plant doubt in you. Be secure in your descision and if she makes you happy - then do it. Happiness comes in spurts and sometimes not at all. If you feel you have a chance to grab the brass ring for real happiness then don't let it pass you by because of narrow minded for social convention.
