Must be the global warming. We've went from a pretty chilly May to a pretty warm one seemingly overnight. The cool weather garden crops are now trying to bolt and go to seed. Now I see lightening bugs. Isn't it early for them?

The heat and humidity have arrived, which means it's time for me to start bitchin and complaining. I'd rather it be 20 degrees than 90 and humid.

Lightening Bugs and June Bugs bring great Childhood Memories. I don't see them to much any more here in the City. My loss. I mean, Our loss.

We get a lot of them down here in Evansville.

Not being from this area, I was really surprised when I saw my first lightening bugs when I moved to Evansville 6 years ago. I thought the lightening bugs only really existed on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.:dunno:

Just got home a little bit ago and noticed some in the yard. This is the first time I've seen them this year as well.

A couple got in my house and have been making the cats go bonkers. It is funny to listen to until a flying can lands on your head in the dark.

I can't tolerate the heat like I could twenty years ago, but I'd much rather have it hot out than cold. I hate the winter.

Put them in a jar and send the to AlGore. It'll save Trillions of dollars in lighting costs. AlGore will deny that he received the bugs from you.... but, he will get anothe Nobel Peace Prize (And isn't that what it's all about?)

    Where's the bacon?
When my wife first moved to IN from CA, one summer night she called her landlord and said, "Either the lawn is on fire or there are little green martians landing."

When he quit laughing, you can guess from the thread I posted this in what he told her. :lmfao:

And yes, she tells that story herself, too.

    Blessings,
    Bill
