Well for those who like the PX4 storm. Marksman Shooting Sports up in Westfield has a 45ACP Px4 Storm used for $389.95

I dunno if this site is any good, but usedguns.com has many interesting Berettas for sale.

This is an interesting one found on GB, it must be some kind of put together custom gun. They call it a 92D because that's what it says on the slide. The frame serial number is actually from a 96 .40 cal from 2000, likely from what was called the Model 96 Stock. I had one of those when they first came out, they had frame mounted safeties but they were different than the Combats. It looks like someone took a 96 Stock frame and added a 92D slide with the frame mounted safety cutout and a KKM barrel with the same front nut set-up that the Stocks had.
Maybe BigMoose can win this one and have a cheap 'Combat'.

Yeah that is a very weird setup.. in INOX (or someone's done up finish like that). Rather strange custom job.

Keep in mind, there is a 92X Performance Defensive available online for $1299, so if it goes more then that.. the new gun is a better deal.

Until they get rid of that hideous rear sight on those Defensive's i'd never buy one. The 92Xi SAO fixed that though.

That looks like a WAL conversion to me. Over on BerettaForum.net there’s a member who goes by WAL, and he does those match barrel bushing conversions and frame checkering as seen on that one. I don’t recall if he was doing the frame safety conversions or if that was another outfit, but those 92D slides were sought after for awhile specifically for these conversions. The newer models have somewhat made these conversions obsolete, but they’re still unique and well done.

First 92D I have ever seen with a standard hammer. Kind of strange seeing a that kind of hammer on a D model which is double action only. I also like the way they modified the right grip to allow for the frame mounted safety. Allows you to see inside the frame. Also allows dirt in. Stopped looking after the first couple of pictures.

I want to add that I am not against someone custom building any 92. Tonight I carried one that I built up over several years of parts collecting, added a new barrel from Beretta, a frame bought online and a couple other parts off of Gunbroker. One of the most accurate pistols I own.

Is the 92Xi a newer version? It looks very appealing to me.

Yes, this was just announced at Shot Show, they are going to make a cheaper 2 tone one as well. That Launch Edition is already available but running at almost 1100, the cheaper one will be around 850.00.

I went back later and ran that serial through the Beretta site. Came back as a 96D.

That site has interesting stuff, but its all various pawn shops that are obviously not gun people. You may get a deal there, or you may not.
